Male infertility can arise from several sperm-related conditions.
Oligospermia: A low sperm count, defined as fewer than 15 million sperm per millilitre of semen. This reduces the chances of sperm reaching and fertilizing an egg.
Azoospermia: A complete absence of sperm in the ejaculate. It can be due to obstruction in sperm transport or failure of sperm production.
Asthenospermia: Reduced sperm motility, meaning sperm struggle to swim effectively toward the egg. Even with normal counts, poor motility can hinder fertilization.
