Male Reproductive System

Do you know… The testes are called “hanging organs” because they are suspended outside the body in the scrotum, allowing them to maintain a temperature lower than the body’s core, which is essential for healthy sperm production.

Scrotal muscles, called the cremaster & dartos muscles, adjust the position of the testes.

  • In hot conditions, the scrotum relaxes, and the testes hang lower to cool down.
  • In cold conditions, the scrotum contracts, pulling the testes closer to the body for warmth.

Back in those days…. grandmas used to glance at a little child’s scrotum and declare,

“Aha! Fever!”.

Why?

Because when body temperature rises, the scrotum muscles relax, and the testes hang lower. Grandma didn’t know the physiology, but she noticed the pattern.

COOL TECH of Grandma….
